Cork   Old World – New World
Milan 2016

Thanks to the generous support of Amorim, Europe’s leading cork manufacturer, a group of students from HfG Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design) was able to travel to northern Portugal in search of this natural material. Exploring cork’s unique properties, the students developed design ideas by expanding its usability and opening up new prospects for the material – thereby generating product ideas with a high recognition factor.

The exhibition was curated by Volker Albus and Hans Maier-Aichen.
